Growths in the nasal cavity are called nasal polyps. Nasal polyps can be tumors or false tumors (pseudo-tumors). Tumors are new-growth creatures (neoplasm) and their etiology is unknown. Pseudo-tumor polyps are due to chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation in the nasal cavity can be due to an allergy or chronic infection. Nasal polyps are treated only surgically.
