I have myasthenia gravis and recently have been diagnised with either bursitis or sciatica in my left hip and my GP has sent me for physical therapy. My PT was familiar with MG and seemed familiar with the disease. At the end of the session, he uses electrical stimulation and cold packs to stimulate the muscles for pain treatment. The exercises seem to help, but upon leaving, I am in more pain after the electrical impulse therapy. Is it safe or recommended in MG patients to use the electrical impulses? I just wasn't sure since with MG patients the nerve pathways are a little screwy (new medical terminology LOL) Thanks for your time and help.
