hi, my name is William Atkinson and I am 18 years old. I have been noticing that my lower abdomen looks to be swollen. I have recently joined the ROTC program here at my school and i have been doing a lot of abdomen workouts. There hasnt been any blood in my stool as far as i can see but my stool has been coming out in little pebbles clumped together. Ive been eating healthy with a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables. Ive also been taking some Protien enhancers when I go work out. I also have increased the level of water intake I have been drinking. Maybe its just me being a worry wart. I also wouldnt mind getting a colonoscopy done but i am afraid of the hefty bill i will get. As to i am in college and cant afford it. the one thing i am worried about is if it will affect my military service. because if I cant serve in the U.S Army, i dont know where my life would go. A little bit of history on me, when i was a little kid I did used to refuse to go to the bathroom because it would hurt coming out. now I want it to come out but I find it a little more difficult to go now that I want to. At first (and my father told me the same thing) that it could be related to stress but once again, I am a very worrysome wart. I am just scared i might have colon cancer and will not be able to serve with our nations finest, may God help me.

Extremely eHealthy
Childhood constipation usually goes on its own and ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement is the main reason for constipation in children.

If you have constipation along with abdominal pain, false alarms for defecation, abdominal bloating, experiencing indigestion, you may have IBS, irritable bowel syndrome.
With this condition, symptoms, usually get worse during stressful periods.
IBS can resemble colon cancer, so, it will be good to get checked with colonoscopy.
Colon cancer cause thin stools in form of small pieces, severe cramps, sense of fullness, fatigue, bloating, nausea, vomiting, loss of weight.

You may check for some screening programs for colon cancer for free in your state.

Best wishes!
