i thought i was pregnant last month but i started my "period" four days late. i had all the symptoms, so i really didnt and still dont think it was PMS. It felt like PMS but worse, and started 2 weeks before my period was even due. i never get pms until a few days before i start my period and i had cramping during those two weeks which i never have unless im on my period. but anyway, after i got my period i started thinking that maybe i really wasnt pregnant and it was all in my head. but now im still not 100% convinced that im not pregnant. some women still bleed even if they are pregnant, which they mistake to be there period (not implantation bleeding, but bleeding that looks like a period) if i was pregnant, i'd be 8 weeks now. my lower abdomen right above my pubic bone has started to harden and i can feel the top of my uterus (and yes it is possible to start feeling your uterus at around 8 or 9 weeks, a lot of women do). this has led me to think im either pregnant or i have fibroids. my only other symptom of pregnancy i have is sharp shooting pains in my groin, or on the sides of my stomach. i took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it was negative. i've also heard of women not getting positive hpts for weeks or months into their pregnancy. i'm thinking about going to the doctor to either get a blood test or an ultra sound. how long did it take you or someone that you know to get a positive hpt? and did you have bleeding that seemed like a period but ended up being pregnant?
