Pulmonary fibrosis is the formation or development of excess fibrous connective tissue (fibrosis) in the lungs. It is also described as "scarring of the lung".

Unfortunately, there are a lot of different causes of fibrosis in the lung.


You need to discuss the finding with your physician. He/she will need to look at your medical history, exposure to certain substances, your occupation, your symptoms, do a physical exam, and look at your x-ray.
