Q: My first period ?

About a week ago I noticed brown-mucous-like discharge that lasted for three days - then, on the fourth day, I woke up with what I think was my period (this would be my first). I bled for just one day and then it stopped and now there's nothing. Did I get my first period? Anybody know what that could've been? Thanks!

It sounds like your first period! Congrats! Sometimes a girl's first few periods are lighter than usual.

Yes, it sounds like it! It will take a little while for them to become longer, make you feel some cramping, and have more discharge.

yep sounds like your first...welcome to womenhood.

things might be a little weird for awhile. Your periods can take awhile to even out and become regular. Some women bleed very heavy and other bleed light. Some periods last 7 days and others only 3. But your body will figure itself out
