I had my first dr. appt yesterday. They said everything looks normal! I had lots of b/w and an ultrasound. They baby is sooooo tiny!!! They said they are still not able to tell how far along but i have to go back on the 22 of this month for another one. They hope at the next appt they will be able to tell on the u/s how far i am! It was so exciting and precious!! How much will the baby grow in a week and a half though??? B/c thats about how long it will be by then since the last u/s. Thanks girls!! Very
Happy

Congrats! I don't know exactly how much the baby will grow in a week and a half, but he will still be very tiny lol. Your uterus will grow though. The average expected growth will be about one centimeter a week Smile

Thanks for the reply!! I didnt realize how much they grew in a week! Today my dr. put me on bed rest I was spotting a little and having period like cramps. She said it was probably nothing to worry about, just a precautionary thing. She made me take off work tmw so thats what made me worry more. Has anyone else had this??? I had a little bit of cramps before but didnt have ne spotting.

While any bleeding during pregnancy isn't "normal" it is common. Many women spot early on and go on to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy.

Just take is easy, keep you feet up and drink plenty of water.

Are you still spotting?

I am in my 5th week..I dont feel the symptoms but I eat twice as much as I am hungry every 4hrs. i was wondering if I needed to do slight exercise at this time or just take rest? My doc's appt is only on the 7th and I am freaked out and keeping my fingers crossed.

You can do any excercise you did before. Don't let your heart race, but you can walk, swim, even jog if you jogged pre-pregnancy.

Your body only needs an additional 300 calories per day - so watch what you are eating. Eat small, nutritious snacks.

I agree with ingi! My dr. said you can do w/e you did before, just not lift as much weight. They said you dont have to take it easy till the end of your pregnancy b/c thats when your body is at its tiredest(sp) and youll need the extra rest to prepare. Good luck!!!
