My Daughter Raven is 20 months old and nothing seems to pass her lips in a day.She turns her nose up at everything..and I mean absolutly everything.I'm at my wits end with her,I really am.I try not to show her that though as I know it makes them worse. For breakfast she usually eats one weetabix with whole milk and a sprinkling of sugar on top and she has 7oz of 1 year plus formula milk as she wont drink cows milk on its own.But she never drinks all of the 7oz...sometimes 3 or sometimes 4 she will take. For lunch I try to give her sandwhiches with nice things inside that she used to like eating and a banana and maybe other bits but she won't eat anything....or she will bite it and leave the rest. For dinner I give her my home made vegatables that I have frozen and then defrosted for her with gravy and sometimes meat or sausages..she used to like fish with butter sauce but now she wont have anything...I give her a yogurt and she will have that and then another 7oz bottle before bed which again she will only take some of.She eats crisps and chocolate so i give her them because people say its better she eats that than nothing.she doesn't have much of these foods though. She does like sweet things but she used to love her veg and my cooking but now she won't eat a thing..we occationally go through an entire day with her eating nothing. Can any one give me any advice about what to try and tempt her with.she doesn't seem under weight and she is deffinetly not over weight.but she won't let the health visitor weigh her.She has recently had her MMR jab at last but this was going on before she had that done.please help.thanks.Jade.

Your baby won't allow herself to be weighed? Keep in mind, you're the mother here. I completely understand that you're frustrated, but you need to exert authority or you're going to have a little tyrant on your hands when she gets older.

Many children and babies are picky as to what they eat. It comes down to the simple fact that she will eat when she gets hungry, so I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially if she isn't malnourished or underweight. If the problem gets to be a health issue, talk to your physician.
