Yesterday it felt like my clit was sore and when I took a look at it the left side of my hood was swelled up like a balloon. It's red and very sensitive to touch. When I do touch it it appears to be filled with liquid.

There appear to be no other spots or marks on the skin and it's not ichy just incredibly sore so that walking is a bit awkward.

I'm not sexually active and am in fact a virgin. I have never seen this before. It's of course very alarming and embarrassing.

I do have rheumatoid arthritis, but since my clit is not a joint I don't see that it would have any effect on this area.

Did you shave there? Did you over stimulate or bump it while masturbating? Can there be an ingrown hair there?

You can use an ice pack wrapped in a wash cloth or towel to bring some relief (be careful for frostbite). If it does not go down by itself, you have to see a doctor.
