I am sorry to hear about your family. some people don't realize how much a pet can mean to a person. I understand what you are going through. I would demand answers. they have to give you something since this is your baby. Good luck and I hope your baby will be ok. Eat something because it's going to do you no good if your not healthy too.

Chiauauas! we have one! you know when there gums go grey that giving them a tiny bit of HONEY till there guns go back pink can save them from death.
you should be able to pick up when your dog isnt ok
and check their gums

the breeder gave us this tip
and it helped once

also you shouldnt feed chiauauas food that isnt suited to there diet even tho they give you the cutest look!

If no one will give you information, then you need to use a different vet. That's just terrible.

There are also plenty of veterinary offices that take payment plans. Granted, most of them don't, but quite a few do. I drive a half-hour to my vet just because she takes payments for up to 6 months.

Also, 12 is fairly old for a dog. That would be about the equivalent to a human in their 70s. Yes, plenty of dogs live longer than that, but your expectations should be significantly lower for a dog that's severely ill than a dog only a few years old.
