We are 27 and 30 and have been together 4 years, i have found out i'm 7 weeks pregnant and he's being up and down like a yoyo, he said he should feel happy but doesn't, i'm now doubting myself. We have argued recently and he keeps bringing it up. He says we can't afford it but i believe we can. I can't go through this for much longer its like a rollarcoaster I just want to be happy what can I do to reassure him it will be ok ?

When you first find out your pregnant, the emotions that you feel are so intense some of the ones you feel you never knew that you could. Tell him that you are happy, and that this baby is going to be a blessing no matter how much he doesnt think so at the moment. I am sure that within time he will come around...once he sees that baby on the monitor when you get your first ultrasound...it will hit him, he will think thats amazing seeing something he created.
Fighting will not solve anything, especially when you are pregnant, so tell him you dont need it.
I hope all works out will you...best of luck!

Men are funny...Sometimes it takes a while for them to show their emotions...Hearing you speaking of the ultrasound makes me wish that years ago we had the privilege of seeing and knowing what you do now...I am sure that once he holds this precious creation that love has made, that he will marvel that this reflection of him is to be his legacy of the future....I envy you....

Take care,
Caroline

i agree he may get excited later. i wanted to abort my child 13 years ago. i wasnt working, didnt have a place to stay, nor did i know how to change a diaper. my son was born w/o a dollar in my pocket. and i seen his little feet, penis, noise, and everything else and i as shocked and aw. im sure y'all might be fighting over baby names soon. it's a great experience. i was a single mom and i wouldnt take it back.
it's probably nervous, and scared.
