Q: mutual masturbating

I am a 8th grader. My friend and I have been masturbating together for about a year. we started to touch each other. It feels good and is exciting but it also feel wrong. I dont like boys but i like being touched. i read a book my parents gave me that said it was normal to experiment with the same sex. We never make each other ejaculate. Have other people out there who arent gay done htis before?
