Q: muscle pain and weakness after hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy nearly four weeks ago and about a week ago had to undergo a procedure to remove a large hemotoma that occured due to blood pooling where my uterus used to be. The healing is progressing slowly and I need to rest a lot, in the past couple of days I have been experiencing throbbing pains and weakness in the muscles in my arms and legs.Has anyone else had this problem or know if this could be because I have been laying down a lot recently?

Thanks,
Mrsigrl

Hello Mrsigrl and welcome to ehealth...I have never heard of this, but I would suggest that you tell your OB-GYN of this problem that you are having...Resting is great. but make him aware of this...

Best wishes,
Caroline
