Hey I am a 27 yr old female with history of PVC's, Tricuspid Valve prolapse, panic disorder, IBS, GERD, syncope .. no history of HBP other than with panic attacks, I also have headaches but have been having migranes for years.
I started having muscle fatigue and feeling of weakness in my legs and arms (I was diagnosed with carpel tunnel), I have severe stress in my life right now and have been seen multiple times by my PCP. The doctor examined me and said there was no actual weakness in legs or arms, nurological exam was normal, deep tendon reflexes normal, and no babinski reflex.
I have pain on right side of the lower lubar with inflamation. He choked my leg pain and weakness up to that and put me on an antinflamatory and muscle relaxors. I don't like taking meds and now my muscles are starting to feel as though they are burning and like I am having tremors though I don't actually think I shake at all. There is some muscle fatigue but only when I hold my 5mo old in my arms for too long. I do breastfeed and not currently taking any kind of vitamins (not sure if that could have anything to do with this).
I need some kind of answer, I am going to school to be a CMA and I have basic knowledge of some debilitating diseases and it worries me that I may have one.

Wow you do have a lot of medical conditions and you don't have HBP with the stress you stated you were under? It sounds like some kind of nerve damage somewhere? Have you thought about going to a chiropractor? How is your diet? I am going to research a few things and I will have to get back to you.

You just had a baby.you should have stayed on the pre natals fir a bit.idk what PVC is I am familiar with the rest of ur symptoms..ur not alone. I would make sure all is ok with your back/cervical spine area...pregnancy and birth do alter things around in your body.if you can ask you pcp or your ob/gyn. for a referral.I think you really need to be on some kind of vitamin.

This is just my opinion and I'm not a doctor but with your history, recent pregnancy and stress I would say that your symptoms of pain and weakness are from a combination of stress and hormonal imbalance from the pregnancy. For many years I had weakness, IBS, muscle aches, etc. along with a lot of stress..I went to many doctors thinking I had MS or some other horrible disease. After many years of normal tests and finally accepting that my aches and pains were from stress I feel better. When I get stressed and have anxiety my legs get weak and I shake..Everyone reacts differently to stress and it's amazing what stress can do to your body.

if you are having limb weakness, you may consider being tested for a disease called myasthenia gravis. you get muscle weakness with basic things like walking, holding your baby, even doing your hair in the morning. myasthenia can be exacerbated by pregnancy. just a thought.
Good luck!

That's interesting. My father had that years ago. He had it in his eyes and had to be hospitalized. He literally couldn't open his eyes. Eventually it did go away or so they said..he was very crippled for years and it was always blammed on radiation from cancer many years prior to this illness. I wonder if his legs were weak from the myasthenia.

i can completely understand where you are coming from! i have been having muscle weakness and pain the last few months and i thought i had sciatia. it burned all the way down my left leg and my arms felt like they were numb, even though they weren't. i have a 11 month old so i was hard to hold her for too long bc they felt weak. thankfully i switched a dr. who knew what she was talking about. i started going to a WONDERFUL physical therapist who specialized in myofascial release. they are trigger points that can get tight bc of stress or physical strain, etc. they cause headaches, back pain, leg pain, pressure in the face and ears, limb weakness, you name it. dr's hardly ever think to diagnose these problems as muscle pains and problems but it is actually the cause of many ailments.

http://saveyourself.ca/tutorials/trigger-p oints.php
this is a very good website to help explain things. please read it, it changed my life! if you don't want to read the whole thing, scroll down to about and inch to an inch and a half on the side scroll bar to where is says "Trigger points also explain many odd aches and pains" The next few paragraphs describe in detail the misdiagnosis of things even like carpal tunnel bc of muscle tension.
i hope this helps. i feel so much better and i hope you do too. i know it can be scary and draining, especially with small children.
*on a side note i do have anxiety issues and this is the cause for my recent issues with pain and GERD, which i never had before at all!! hopefully when i get total control over it the reflux will stop. it was constand 24/7 for about 4 months but now it's letting up a little to where i only have to take a prilosec every 4-5 days. yoga helps a lot with all of my issues

Sweetie I have researched to best of my ability. Considering your medical history and the fact you stated you were under stress, I am going to have to say it would be my opinion that the duress you are going through are bounce off symptoms so to speak from the stress. Make sure you are eating properly. Not sure if this is something that you would be interested in?.....Have you tried seeing a Naturopathic Physician?

Thanks everyone for your imput and ideas. I am still waiting on some tests to come back so maybe that will have an answer.
As far as the myastenia gravis goes I am almost certain I do not have that. These symptoms come and go so quickly sometimes it sometimes feels like it is anxiety or stress related. My legs or arms might get weak and and then an hour later they are fine (sometimes). I am constantly tired .... like all the time but I've been that way for a long time now. I let my kids go away for a week to see if I could get some sleep and feel better and even with all of the sleep I got I still feel exhausted. I was kind of thinkin CFS but my doctor doesn't believe in this condition.
PVC's by the way are Premature Ventricular Contractions this happens in a lot of people that drink a lot of caffeen or have panic issues. Your heart will beat like normal and all of a sudden it feels like you are being kicked in the cheast and like your breath is being taken away or like your heart skips a beat and beats real hard one time. My PVC's are benign and related to an adrineline problem where my body puts out too much at one time. Or so they believe thats what caused them.
This has been very scary and I am sure that panic is just kicking in and I am over worried. If you have anymore ideas or thoughts please let me know.
