Okay so I have gestational diabeties, then I get all itchy(that got better by the way), now my blood pressure is through the roof, I have
Strep B, and a urine infection, and yesterday my midwife put me on bed rest. Its all really starting to affect me. My husband and I have been wanting another baby for about 3 years. She took a long time to concive and now everything is going wrong. I know I should feel greatfull because so far she's healthy. Its all me, but it feels like I'm putting her in jeapordy. The blood pressure, diabeties, and strep b could all cause potential problems for her. I'm really freaking out but everyone keeps telling me that this stuff happens and its not my fault and I'm doing everything I can.

It dosen't feel like enough though. Is anyone else dealing with these problems? How are you coping?

Ok, that was really confusing... you went from you being pregnant, to sounding like you're a lesbian couple where she is pregnant, but it says 'my husband and I'. Really confused here...

Strep B is as random as it gets. It doesn't affect you in any way (more harmful for the baby), they'll just put antibiotics in your IV when you give birth. Same with BP. If it's associated with Pre-eclampsia, it's just as random. They don't know what causes it, and the healthiest pregnant women get it, along with the most unhealthy pregnant women. gestational diabeties is a little more controllable, but it just means a little more strict diet.

All of them should go away once the baby comes, but it's possible to get actual diabeties later in life and in another pregnancy. As for the infection, drink lots of water and cranberry juice. If it doesn't go away, I'm not sure if you can take the antibiotics while pregnant, but they will surely give you some afterwards.

Well, I had Gestational Diabetes & Abrupto Placenta & my baby was fine.....Alot of times we try so hard to get pregnant & then bad stuff happens. It'll be ok...I have a healthy 18mo old who was born via emergency c-section! Worst case sinerio, you have to have a c-section, right?? You'll recover! As long as you stay on a strict diet & monitor everything like your supposed to, you'll do fine & have a healthy baby girl!!

im not too sure about blood pressure or diabetes but the Strep B really isnt something to be too freaked out about. Yes you will get IV antibiotics when you deliver but thats about as serious as it gets. I also have strep b. My midwife told me that towards the end of my pregnancy they will do culturs to see if I have active strep b near the birth canal. If I dont then I will not require the IV. But she wants to give it to me as a precaution. As long as you will deliver at a hospital the strep b isnt such a big deal. Yes there are major risks to baby, but todays technology will prevent that. I also have genital herpes. So that has me a little stressed out but that to can be maintained and controlled.

Im sure they can help maitain your BP and diabetes too. Try to relax. I know how stressful that can be but being stressed right now is also not good for the baby. Hang in there im sure your doc will take good care of you.

Thank you. I've been feeling better latley. I've been able to keep my diabeties under control, and at my last appointment my bp wasn't too high. I'm still a little freaked about the strep b though.
