I am a 20 year old woman who is waiting to have sex until she gets married. My boyfriend agrees with me on this. Sometimes when we are kissing, he'll leave hickeys on my neck or on my shoulders. I don't mind this, cause my hair or my shirt cover it up, but I am concerned that if this happens too often to my capillaries, something bad might happen. I don't know what, but since I am breaking my capillaries, you never know.

Does anyone know if this is bad if it happens regularly (every couple weeks or so)? I like how it feels and I don't mind that he does it, but is it bad for my body in the long run?

You like that? Ouch, sometimes hickies hurt! I hate getting a hickey, but I'm also really bad at covering them up (I'm way too pale and a hickey looks like marker on my skin).

Try telling him to use his tongue more and suck less. You'll get the same nice feelings but no hickey and no worries. Wink

I've never heard of complications from a hickey, but no need to worry if you can get around getting a hickey at all right?

I dont think there is no danger in them. Excpet marking your skin temporarily.

I hate hickies! Mostly because they look nasty on me. A few times hubby and I have gotten carried away in the heat of the moment, but if I can help it I receive them or give them.

A hickey on me turns into a blue and yellow bruise once the redness wears away. So it just looks like I got hit or something...lol. They look real scary on me...lol

But I think you are ok.

I don't mind getting hickeys but I think they look so trashy so I make sure it is no where to be seen.
