Hi
Im a 30 year old male in uk, non smoker.
for about 3 or 4 weeks now, i have had a greenish/yellowish mucous at the very back of my throat, its not there all the time, but is always present when i wake up. I dont have a sore throat or blocked nose, or fever, but have some aching in my neck and my throat looks a little red.
I have been to the doctors, and they say my lymph nodes are not swollen, they did various blood tests and everything was perfectly normal except my lymphocyte count was fractionally down which they said indicated an infection. i was given amoxicillin. I am also getting occasional noises in my ears when i swallow and every now and again slight uncomfortable feelings in one or both ears.
However, my symtoms persist, even though I have finished the antibiotics. A throat culture for bacteria was negative.
Im scared it could be some kind of cancer. Does this sound like Cancer of head/neck or of something chronic with my ears or sinuses or?
thank you
