For the last couple of weeks i feel like i have something trickling down the back of my throat! it causes me to retch and cough and my eyes water instantly i am not sleeping very well as it wakes me up all through the night! my nose does seem a bit sniffly when this happens. Could this be a sinus problem ? a friend mentioned the trickling could be mucas running down the back of my throat.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you

I'd suggest that you go to see an ear, nose and throat specialist. The first thing to do is to identify whether there is something physically present (such as post nasal drip). An ENT specialist can also help diagnose and treat the condition once it's identified.

MUCOUS IN THROAT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS
what ever happened? I am cursed with this also, have been since January of this year. Have seen 4 doctors now. The most recent, ENT specialist, told me to get off Allegra D, or Zyrtec D, or antihistamines and try the sinus - cleansing method NeilMed or Netipot for a month, daily, maybe twice a day. I'm trying it. Also said to use Mucinex 1200mg twice a day and try that.... I am just sick of this thick mucous in my throat, it's driving me crazy!!!! Other doc TOLD me to be on Allegra D - this one said NO - so I'm trying this alternative method for one month. Also told me to be on flonase and try that when needed as he thinks all this is a sinus problem. Also have had 3 left eye infections in 3 months. Been on strong antibiotics too for a while as mucous was yellow for a while. That has at least stopped. Good luck! ME TOO!!!
