What is a woman's success rate for having a baby with two prior miscarriages and a final diagnosis of MTHFR in the 11th/12th week? Since Spina Bifida and other comlications such as Downs seem to be connected, how importan is it to get Amnio and is that risky to the baby. My doctor has now put me on aspirin and folic acid...will that help? Is it too late to assist. My first miscarriage was in the first tri-mester but I was four months pregnant when I misscarried again and they had sutured my cervix to keep the baby in. Can you tell me the risks? The chances ??

Meds will help
yes the med. will work. with my first pregnancy that i carried we didn't figure out that I had MTHFR until I was 20 weeks and went into labor! The med along with other help me carry my daughter until I was closer to my due date and she was healthy enough for me to have.. A lot of bed rest and only 20 mins out a day helped too..My second child from day one that put me on like 10 pills which made me throw up from day one of taking them but I made it until my due date and the baby was ok..Now I'm pregnant again about 8 weeks. I have been sicker than a dog for 3 days now. Chest pains, throwing up, and all the other signs of my MTHFR coming out. Everyone of my pregnancies have been different and the doctors tell me the older you are the more problems I will have. Thats after they told me this is my last. I"m 25 years old and on bed rest at 8 weeks with a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old.
