I'm new to the forum so Hi!

I've had MS symptoms since November 2005. I've been tested for everything under the sun. The first Neuro tested me with every test available for MS. No lesion on brain or cervical spine. EMG was done, as well as a LP, 1 O-band. First Neuro said no idea.

Seeing an MS specialist since June 2006. Had steroids with a bad reaction. January 2007 he put me on Cytoxan. Worked beautiful. Six weeks after the first dose my symptoms were pretty much gone. Stayed that way until November 2007. Had a bout of fatigue. Again the chemo helped.

From February 2008 to November 2008 had no symptoms whatsoever. November I started my present flair. Severe spasticity in both of my legs and my right arm. I was out on disability since December. The pain was unbearable. I'm on baclofen, tizanidine and celebrex to help with the spasms. It's helping some but the pain is 24/7 at a little lesser degree.

I finally had a thoracic spine MRI tonight and there were no lesions. Brain and cervical spine are still clear also. The chemo is not working it's magic this time. I've also had a 5-day treatment of IVIG. Nothing is working. MS specialist still swears it's MS.

How many people have MS but have no lesions on their MRI scans?

Thanks

Not I but MS can present itself with no visible lesions.

Dx of MS can be given in the absense of lesions when clinical findings suggest otherwise and all other known diseases have been ruled out.

Baclofen and Tizadine (Zanaflex) are both for muscle spasms...didn't realize they could be used together. Unsure about taking Celebrex.
