Q: Ms and sauna ?

hi,
iam a patient with MS. i heard that using the steam room and sauna is bad for my condition is that true?

Some with MS...heat can trigger an attack. It will differ from patient to patient.

If you use it once you may do fine and your next visit you may not...key word with MS 'unpredictability'...lovely...

I wouldn't take my chances with it. Before I knew I had MS I took sauna's almost every night. Shortly after I developed really bad symptoms and really discovered I had MS. About a year later I was more stable but took a very hot shower. I had a epileptic seizure because of it. But that's just my case yours may or may not be different of course
