This is great that you are planning on making an appt to see a neurologist. Please follow through.
With the symptoms that you have described, a good neuro would also consider MS as well as any other disease that could cause these symptoms as well. He / she will do a complete workup...blood, personal and family history of known diseases and an MRI (with and without contrast), etc.
When you meet with your neuro...do NOT leave anything out, no matter how silly it seems to you...or something so private that you do not want to share (like loss of bladder control). Everything must be on the table for accurate tests to be performed and eventually a dx.
Partial list of other Auto Immune Diseases that mimic MS symptoms: Lupus, Sjogren's Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, Lyme Disease, Vitamin B-12 deficiency, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS or Lou Gehigs Disease, hypo-thyrodism, etc....
I have personal experience with MS (me) and I am very familiar with all the tests, waiting, fustration, other possibilities, etc.... As long as you have a neuro and you are comfortable discussing anything with him / her and he / she with you...consider yourself in good hands.
Me too, I am very sensitive to heat...my legs fail me if I get overheated however once I cool down, I'm good to go...minor twitches as well. Never had a gran mal seizure.
Best wishes and may you find the answer to which you seek.
