Being anxious and nervous is possible result of hyperthyroidism.
But, my opinion is that your problem is anxiety.
Even, TMJ (and headaches), can be caused by your anxiety (anxiety leads to bruxism (grinding of the teeth) and, tensed neck, face and scalp muscles).
Experiencing exaggerated worry and tension, often expecting the worst, even when there is no apparent reason for concern, is a characteristic for generalized anxiety disorder.
Feeling lightheaded when worrying and when being out at crowded places, seems like social phobia or social anxiety disorder.
Please, try to seek help for your anxiety!
Don't allow it to ruin your life!
It is very possible that the death of your close friend induced your anxiety.
Remember, that anxiety disorders are highly treatable with psychosocial therapies, medication, or both.
Best wishes!
