I have been having terrible neck, shoulder, arm & hand feel like asleep. Dr. ordered MRI (left threes message to discuss results - hasn't called back yet)
Here are the MRI readings I need help with

There is straightening.

Minimal disc bulging C4-C5 disc slightly distorting the anterior epedural space without central canal stenosis or foraminal stenosis.

Apprx. 3mm posterior central disc protrusion of C5-C6. This also slightly compresses the anterior epidural space and slightly effaces the anterior subarachnoid space

It is best that you get your information from you spine surgeon and during an appointment, not over the phone.
That way the doctor can sit down with you and go over the information and what it means, show you exactly what is going on with your spine with the MRI pics and answer any questions that you have.

We are not doctors, nurses or medical professionals that can answer the questions and tell you the details of your MRI.

Also remember that the results of your MRI are only an interpretation of the pics itself. A good doctor will use the MRI results as only a very small part of the diagnostic tools he/she uses.
A good spine surgeon will examine you and see how your symptoms match the MRI pics in front of him/her to determine the diagnosis and the appropriate treatment for you.

If you are not satisfied with what your present spine surgeon says, than you should seek out the opinion of another spine surgeon.
