Q: Moving On After Dumping A Cheater

I just wanted some advice on how I should go on after I dumped well ex boyfriend now. He scared me with pretending to be police and did not take the break up well as I messaged the girl. However, that is done and finished now, but I am feeling hurt and have never felt something like this. It does hurt he was playing me the whole time. However, I am glad I got out of the relationship, but now I am trying to get over the pain and the time I gave to him. How long does it take to really get over this? I know I have to keep busy with university, and other things. But getting over this is a lot harder than I expected. Its clear I won't come back to this guy, but I didn't expect to feel so hurt. I know its not my fault to begin with that he cheated right from the start and that he has personal issues to deal with and what goes around comes around.

Everytime you find yourself thinking about this...immediately put your mind on something else...it won't be easy but keep doing it and it will get better over time.

Take a vacation with a girlfriend or two and relax and do not mention whats-his-face.

how long does it takes? that depends on you.

i was with my ex for five years and this guy put me through the mud. i left the states, i packed my son and my suitcases. i left all my furniture, everything. if i had to add all the money i put into him, it would be $40k.
he did a number on me mentally, so i had flash backs about that. but i quickly met someone who praises the ground i walk on. i've been with him for two years and i still have trust issues.

it's good to stay busy. and sometimes it takes a while. no on can give you an answer. but time heals all things.
