Running nose in morning sounds like an allergy. Try taking hot tea BEFORE you get out of bed in AM. YOu can use a thermos or an automatic heater. This warms your body and avoids the AM sneezing which, in allergy, you are trying to warm up your body by sneezing and nose running.
I have all my allergy patients take breakfast in bed this way.
