Morning after pill
Posted: 03-03-08 00:14am

A week ago I had sex and the condom broke. About 9 hours later I took the morning after pill. Then yesterday (5 days later) I got what I thought must be my period, even though it wasn't due for another two weeks. But it was like my regular fourth day of bleeding (meaning light bleeding) and today is like my regular fifth day. Should I be worried, or is this normal for the morning after pill? This is the first time I have used it and I don't know what to expect. Is there still a chance I could be pregnant?

That is normal, and to expected after PLAN B usage.

PLAN B is very effective, over 90%, so your chance of being pregnant is low.

Have you considered birth control? IT is SO much more effective than condoms and PLAN B.

Had thought about it, think its a good idea, but don't know whether I would be able to hide it from my mum. She has no clue I am not a virgin and I would like it to stay that way.

YES, you could definitely hide it!

Nuva Ring is a birth control method that you place in your vagina. It looks like a small hair tie/ponytail holder.

It is VERY discreet, and she would not know that you use it.

You don't need parents consent for BC services and the doctor visit, so you are okay in that regard.

It is very normal, not only can plan b induce bleeding, but all period like symptoms, such as cramps, sickness, stomach flu, etc...
