Q: morning after pill - microgynon ?

i had unprotected sex last night and went to the pharmacist immediately this morning to get the morning after pill/emergency contraception. i was given microgynon 30 ED tablets - 4 to take now and 4 to take in 4 hours. so i googled microgynon (after taking the first 4) and found out it is a normal contraceptive pill as opposed to the morning after pill. will the dosage of 8 tablets given to me be as effective as say the noraml morning after pill???

the morning after pill is birth control pills. they tell you to take a lot of them to make sure you dont become pregnant.
