Q: More time to get erection
asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 4th, 2009
Im suffering from ED(i think). I used to get hard erections in a matter of seconds before but suddenly one day after vacation it started taking me like much longer to get an erection and more importantly i lose it quickly after i stop fantasizing. Also im not sure if i have erections during the night and recently i have a somewhat decreased sex drive but i think this is due to my "ED". I think i can get erections quickly but this is only when i am more stimulated(not neceesarily manually). This started happening very suddenly and ive been to my doctor and he brushed it off saying whole lot of things which in short says that my hormones are maybe calming down. Also please advise ive been a incontinence sufferer for years but not so severe the only time i have 'problems' and its not continous leaking but just a little and only for a varying period of time and for this reason i wrap quite alot tissue down there so is it possible that the heat that gets trapped is causing my "ED" problem.

The time taken to get erection might have been useful. The incontinence might be related to perineal neural disorder. Since, the same nerves are responsible for erection, you might want to visit a neurologist to check for some neural damage. Although, that would be least probable and the “calming down” of the hormones might be the true cause.
The increased temperature that might be developed because of the tissues might affect the quality of the spermatozoids, but not the erection.
