hi, I'm new to this so i'm sorry if i don't really make sense.
I've recently noticed that I always seem to really want to be in a relationship and then as soon as I'm in one I change my mind, discover that I don't find the person at all attractive and actually find them irritating. When i say 'as soon as I'm in a relationship' i mean it, it's literaly the next day i immediately lose all feelings for the person i am with. i'm beginning to wonder if there is a condition that has this as a symptom. Other , i suppose you could call them 'syptoms', that i have are : i also have spectacular mood swings where i can be laughing and the next minute i feel so depressed i just want to curl up in a ball. i find it hard to actually show emotion other than happiness and anger, and i often find myself faking a smile so that noone asks whats wrong, becuase i don't know whats wrong!! when i see myself in the mirror i don't feel like it's me that i'm looking at (i'm sorry if that doesn't make much sense), and i sleep very little.
Confused
is this ringing bells for anyone because i really want to get this sorted now as it's affecting me socially and at college.

Thanks x

Hey there,

The mood swings you describe may be the result of a mood disorder such as bipolar.

You are best to seek professional help. This site is great for support and advice but dont try and get a diagnosis here.

I have recently found out I MAY be bipolar (yet to be confirmed fully). I have many of the same symptoms as yourself. My mood can change from laughter to just down right depression in a second. There are also many times I just dont feel anything at all....I feel almost heartless.

Back in my younger and single days I was very much the same with relationships. I would persue and persue and once I had them I was not interested.

I am here if you ever need to chat to someone who knows what you are going through.

But like I said....go see the professionals to get a diagnosis as quick as possible.

I have been going through this crap for too long and wish someone had diagnosed me sooner.

take care

Brad
