my son did not sleep through the night until he was 7months old. however i personally don't think that three ounce bottles are enough. both my children were drinking 6oz bottles when they were 6months old with their baby food and they are very petite. my daughter is 3 1/2, 32'' tall, and 29lbs. i just don't think that she is getting enough nutrients to hold her over.

5 month old wakes up...
My son is the same-- 5 months old and up every 2-3 hrs all night long. Similar cat naps throughout the day. He will not eat more than 3 ounces at a time. I always make a bottle with 5 ounces and he won't drink more than 3 at once. What can I do?

try to space out the milk bottles with more snacks during the day. thats what i had to do with my daughter. that way whenit is time for that milk they will take it all.. my daugher was taking 6-8ozes of formula with babyfood at 6months but she was started on cereal early and slept threw the night at 5 months. they are just not getting enough right before bed. give them cereal in the baby food and a small bottle before bed they should sleep.

my 6 month old
My daughter will be 6 months next week. She has never slept through the night. The docotor had us put her on cereral at 3 months because she only slept an 1hour and 15 minutes between each feeding. She has been eating 4 to 6 ounces for a few months now. She is now on formula and regular baby food but it still doesn't help. I have tried giving her a bath, bottle, book then bed but that hasn't helped either. Im lost...Im so tired and i work full time. Please help

Night time Feedings
I would first try to give them more formula, my son at 5 months is getting 7oz every 4 hours plus solids twice a day. he sleeps through the night (put to bed at 9pm, wakes up at 9am) be only because at 3 months we stopped night time feedings. there is no nutritional benefit to continue night time feedings at that age, and once they are used to waking up at night they come to expect it to feed and it will become difficult to stop. you may have to "wean" your baby off and start feeding less and less until you eliminate bottles at night all together. I would try increasing how many ounces you are giving (especially in the evening when you want your baby to sleep) hope this helps!
