i have a 3 month old daughter who will sleep in her bassinet or play yard during the day, but when it comes time to put her down at night, she just won't go down, she wakes up the second i let go of her and she cries. i've tried swaddling her, rocking her, feeding her(i breastfeed), changing her, and anything else everyone has suggested so far....can someone please give me advice?

routine
my son is only a month old, but he sleeps very well at night already... what i have done is a few hours before 'bedtime, i wake him up and keep him awake until it is time for bed-- i also implimented a bedtime routine, it helps kids adjust to goint o bed on a schedule. I wake aiden up about 7 and lay on the bed talking to him and playing until around 8, when we change his diaper and clothes, lotion him, then feed him... he's very active for being 4 weeks old, but i lay him on my chest for half an hour to an hour until he is good an relaxed (whether he is sleeping or not) i lay him in his bassinet and he usually puts himself to sleep after that. but somethings ive foundhelp alot if you choose to put bathtime in her routine, try lavander scents, or lavandeer lotion. and (this is my son's big thing) it sounds kinda crazy, but sleep with her blankets for a couple nights, cuddle with them... it gives them your scent which comfort baby.
sorry if none of this helps you, but goodluck!!

i heard its not good to bathe an infant every night...is that what you do in your bathing routine (every night i mean)? i will try everything you suggested because at this point im desperate to get her on somewhat of a good routine. its also hard to implement a routine because im at my moms every weekend and at my place during the week. im starting to wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Extremely eHealthy
You don't have to use soap at every bath. Use lots of lotion like Aveno Night time lotion (it's great). I love the lavender scented baby wash and creams. I have no idea if they are really good for inducing sleep, but they smell wonderful!

I did the same thing that little mama suggested with my son. We would give him a bath, lotion him up, and then we would play, sing to him until bed time. He started sleeping through the night at just under 3 months and other than a couple little bumps in the road has been a good sleeper since. He's almost 1 now.

it does usually take a bit for a little one to get used to the routine but i would try to tough it out, even if it means letting her cry for a little while(i know i cant do it, but i started the routine from day 1) i read an artical just the other day about a couple trtying to break their 3 month old from sleeping in bed with them- every so often they would come spend a few minutes with her to calm her and reassure her that they were still there, but then leave again and eventually baby would wear herself out... it took like 5 days for them to get much REAL sleep, but eventually, it came out okay...
and being at your moms every weekend CAN be part of it, however, if you continue the same routine there, it should even out eventually...
and the lavander scent- it doesnt exactly enduce sleep, but its a calming scent and it should help to relax Emma
