I’m 19 years old.. This year i got mono for the first time... i have read a lot about this and am now familiar with what I’m dealing with. The first time i had it was just a sore throat, and swollen tonsillitis. The second time it was an actually break out with swelling spleen, headaches, and big nasty tonsils... and the 3ed time i was in the hospital with a fever, and everything else again probably my own fault because i stressed out so much about it coming back. So i now understand that once you get mono it stays with you forever, and you can have breakout at any time, most likely when your body gets run down. I also gave this to my boyfriend who was just tested positive for mono. So my questions are... will this ever go away? Now that my boyfriend has this too, is this going to be an ongoing problem for both of us kissing even when both feeling normal? What in the world can i do to keep this from reoccurring? I have missed 6 weeks of work in 8 months and i fell like its wrecking my life for sure. I really don’t want to keep going through this. is there anything i can take to stay healthy??? Please help!
