My hand froze up in a strange position yesterday. My doc had told me to start using my hand again (ouch) so I complied but ended up stretching my arm to pick something very light up and finding that it was agonizing.

I had felt this pain before, but this particular moment left my hand stuck with the in dex finger pointing at a right angle to my palm, my middle finger pointing slightly lower than this and if you do this now you'll see how my other fingers were -- but all of them were strangely straight.

I seriously could not move them and it scared me so much -- I was buckled over in agony and I couldn't make it go away. A couple of minutes later, however, I could move it again but was very sensitive.

Has anyone ever had this? Is it normal for post op or should I seek out more help?

I have found with CT that just about anything happens...During the night one finger will not move...Then you wake up and swear that someone is sticking pins in part of your hand or it may be numb...I just kind of baby myself and find the easiest things to do and let my husband do the dishes Very Happy I don't overly strain my hand and am careful...It has worked for me...
