Hi!
I am 12 and I think I am dyslexic. My sister was recently diagnosed with dyslexia, so now I learned more about it then realized that I relate to many of the symptoms. I took 3 online tests. All turned out posative. However, when I talk to my mom, she thinks I am trying to take attention away from my sister and says that I "want something wrong with me" this is NOT true! My teacher even thinks I should be tested. My mom is being rude, and I am really falling behind in English, Math, and History (we had a reading test on a book which I got an F on) my mom is being unfair! My mom also is upset about the cost of a tutor for my sister, so if she has two Dyslexic kids, we couldn't afford it. What do I do? please help!

Testing usually can be done at your school. Also, in most states, your school is required to serve you for free if you are dyslexic. Maybe give it some time before asking mom when she is less stressed about sister. But I know for a fact that dyslexia is hereditary.

Thanks, but I go to a private school, so they don't have the same requirements.
