I have had a tender spot in my Left breast for the last couple of weeks. When I went to my GYN in december he said he didn't feel any lumps. In the last couple of days it seems that the pain has gotten worse. My mom had 32 benign adenoma cysts removed from her breasts when she was 32, I just turned 30.. So I am slightly freaked, any info would be greatly appreciated!

As I cannot examine you, I am unable to offer you a specific diagnosis for your breast pain. Certainly, breast cancer is rarely painful, especially during early stages of the disease. On the other hand, 40 to 50% of all women will experience significant breast pain at some point during their reproductive lives.

In my own practice, I often order an ultrasound to further evaluate young women who present with breast pain. (Perhaps you can discuss this possibility with your doctor.)
