I have a concern. I went to a dermatologist yesterday and he notices I have quite a few moles on me.. and I do tan once in a while. I have had this mole that sits right in the crease of my stomach.. the crease is red and the outer cirle of my mole is also red.. It almost forms a ring. When I pull that skin it turns the ring whitish. I always just thought it was red because it sits in that crease which is also red. This mole is not big by any means and is almost perfectly round. The Derm told me it looks like my body has been trying to fight it off and will be removing the moles next week. I am still paranoid cause I have been googling and found red ring is a sign of melanoma. The mole and the ring have not changed for at least 3 years now.. As far as I can remember.. I am just wondering if I should still be worried about this or if this may be something normal...

You're under the care of a doctor and he's going to take them out as a precaution. He'll send them off to a lab to test them for melanoma or anything like it. If it is something, at this stage it sound like it will be very treatable. It is probably nothing, though. Don't worry until you know more.

If you are concerned about skin cancer, stop tanning. They have good fake-and-bake tanners out there that look real and don't cause cancer.
