Apparently there are "censored words" in this, but I really can't work out what they are and I've proof-read it three times.

I'll try and keep this short as I can...

I'm 20 and I have a mole on my leg which became darker about a year ago and I went to the doctor about it because it had gone scabby-looking. It wasn't hurting or itching, I'd shaved my legs a few days before and I think maybe I had caught it with the razor (it was slightly rasied), as it healed up fine and I've had no problem with it since. My doctor said he was sure it was nothing, but if it changed again or started to cause problems I should go back straight away. It has been fine since, so until today I've seen no need to go back.

However I have discovered two "new" moles within the past couple of days (I say "new" because they might have always been there and I just haven't noticed until now). One is on the side of my right breast by my arm-pit and the other (I'm trying not to go into too much detail here, as it's a bit embarassing) is in my pubic region (I'm not sure what the name of the area is!).
I have always had a mole on my breast. However I think it has grown a bit. The one in my pubic region (for lack of better word) I have never noticed before, I'm pretty sure there was nothing there before (again I might just not have noticed it, I'm not the most observant person in the world), it seems to have just "appeared".

All three moles are slightly irregular in shape and just under half a centimetre in diameter. They are flat and do not itch or hurt or weep or otherwise appear to be suspect. The only reason I am wary is purely that I hadn't noticed them until now and also my pubic region seemed a bit of a weird place to have a mole!

I have been sunburnt on a small number of occasions (two or three times that I can remember) but never particularly badly, and only on my arms, face or shoulders. I'm generally very careful about sun-exposure - I am not the sort of person to sunbathe and I never have used (and never would use) a tanning bed - I avoid them like the plague. My parents made me aware of the dangers of the sun and skin cancer from an early age, and would always make sure I was wearing sun-lotion every time I went outdoors.
I wear a wetsuit in the sea when I go to the beach and I use a high-factor sun lotion (factor 35 or 50) when I am out and about in the sun, so I don't really let myself get burned. If I don't have sun-lotion I cover up or stay in the shade. There are a couple of times I have forgotten but I'm usually pretty good.

Any advise would be much appreciated and thanks. Should these moles be a cause for concern? Do they sound "suspect" to you? Should I be this worried? I'm going to book a doctor's appointment asap, within the next couple of days, but I'm really stressing out now. And sorry, I have a tendency to rant on a bit when I'm stressed. Rolling Eyes

Dont be passive
Go to your doctor and request for these moles tobe remove, and they need to be evaluated by a pathologist. Remember doctors are there to serve you If your doctor do not want to do the punch biopsy go to another doctor, do this the sooner the better. Godspeed..

Thankyou very much for your help! Smile

A punch biopsy is where they give you local anesthetic around the mole, and then using a special apparatus, they "punch" the mole outta your skin...kind of like a hole puncher.
