Im a 15 year old girl, andI have this mole that I just recently discovered, but I\\\'m not sure how long I\\\'ve had it. It has blurred edges and is a light tan color as opposed to all my other moles which are circular and dark brown. It aches like crazy and feels very sore, although there is no change when I press on it. I don\\\'t sun bathe that often but recently I layed out in the sun for about half an hour several times. Is this skin cancer? And if I've noticed the mole for several weeks, is it too late?

Welcome to ehealthforum

Moles can be of various category as Dysplastic naevus,halo naevi and blus naevus and most of the changes that occur in mole in shape,size are benign but any mole that is unusual should be examined.Since it is associated with pain and has blurred edges it definitely requires a clinical examination as evaluation is the most important step for coming to diagnosis.
Kindly consider visiting a Physician earliest for examination and if required he might advise Biopsy.Meanwhile avoid unnecessary exposure to sun.Keep covered in sun and apply sunscreen.
