mold removal from leather

I have my leather couches in storage. There was a leak in there and now they have mold on them. Can they be saved. They've had mold since April of 2009. We are moving into an apt soon and I do not know if this is a health hazard if we cleaned them. Can they be cleaned and with what? Will the mold grow back?

Tips for Mildew Mold Removal in the Bathroom
Mildew and mold thrive in humid, poorly ventilated environments, which is why household bathrooms are veritable breeding grounds for them. One way to get your bathroom's humidity under control is to frequently run a carefully placed window fan. Alternatively, if your bathroom features a ceiling fan, simply run the device on a consistent basis. This is perhaps the simplest method of mildew and mold removal.

Dont panic. The best way is to get the mold removed once and for all. So first get your place checked for the mold formation. this can be done very easily. first you have to contact a company that gives the service of mold removal in your city. They will come and do the air quality testing. After this is done they will suggest you whether you actually require mold removal program or not. The air quality testing will let you know the amount of mold presence in the atmosphere in you home. They will then carry out mold removal program and remove the traces of mold formation once and for all.

Hi bohnertjeffery59, interested to see how you went?

We just had work done by a company which managed to remove all of the mould, but it wasn't cheap..

We had a similar problem in our family that turned out to be hidden mold contamination behind a basement wall. The mold then started reproducing inside the HVAC system and ductwork and on furniture. There are many companies that offer mold inspection services. We chose Mold Aid because of their certifications and experience. A certified firm can determine what type of mold, whether or not it is something potentially harmful (which I understand is rare), and exactly what steps need to be taken. We ended up losing some furniture in our case... hope this helps.

For a leather couch try using a brush and 50/50 chlorine and water solution on it.
