Hi, I had gastric bypass surgery in 2003. I have always had excessive gas and bloating. I recently had a ct scan of abdomen because I have no appetite, some nausea off and on, hyperacative bowel sounds.I am a nurse and own a large personal care home and have a very stressful life. I've been having difficulty breathing feeling like I cant get a deep breath and that something is squeezing me around my waist and that I have a lump in my throat. I know the breathing and lump can be from stress but I've been having tests to rule out other things. So I had a CT scan of the abdomen. The ct scan showed moderate fluid in the bypassed stomach of questionable clinical significance. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be moderate fluid in the lower stomach.I remember my surgeon telling me before my surgery that the bypassed stomach will still make gastric enzymes and will secrete into the small intestine. But I dont know if having the fluid is normal. Naturally I got the results faxed to me late today so I have to wait till Monday to call my Dr. Has anyone ever had this or have the symptoms I have. Thank you. kat

That sounds like what I have been having and I just had a CT scan done today. I have such horrible pain in my upper abdomen and back and they told me today that I had fluid in the bypassed stomach so they are waiting for another doctor to look at the scan and get back to me for what to do next!
