You would like to know why you still don’t have your period after giving birth to a three months old baby.
After giving birth to a child in the first 40 days, changes in a woman’s body appear due to the uterus returning to normal size. At the beginning the vaginal discharge is bloody with clots, later it becomes white and viscous and at the end clear and water-like. During breastfeeding of the baby, the cycle changes of the lining of the uterus do not appear and so the period does not appear as well. However, during breastfeeding women ovulate and may become pregnant although they didn’t have their period.
Given the data that you described, it is likely that you don’t experience any medical or abnormal condition. You may consider seeing a gynecologist if your period does not appear after you stop breastfeeding your daughter. The recommended period of breastfeeding is until the baby is one year old.
