So about year ago, I got the mirena inserted and every month I would check to see if my strings were still there and no problems, I've heard many horror stories about people losing their Mirena strings and having surgery, this is the only birth control I can take without risking my life with blood clots again, I'm scared because recently I've been really tired I slept for 24 hours and have been nauseous. I'm worried that because the strings are no where to be found that I might be pregnant, I took a at home pregnancy test came out negative. I'm really scared because if I were to get pregnant and the Mirena is still up there somewhere I don't want to lose a baby because of this! Has anyone experienced missing strings?
