missing a pill on tri-sprintec Posted: 05-06-08 18:10pm
Hi, I've been taking tri-sprintec for
about 3-4 months now and been having
unprotected sex while on it. If I missed a
day, I would just take two the next day
because most birth controls work like
that. THEN, I read the directions and it
had all these crazy rules about how if you
miss a specific color then you have to
take two the next day and two the day
after that... and all this crazy stuff.
Could I be pregnant if I didn't follow
those crazy directions? Or am I still ok
because I took two pills the following day
of missing?
please help. I'm scared.
oh p.s. how important is it to take the
inactive pills? is it ok to miss the 4th
week sometimes to not have my period?

Whatever the instructions in your packet
say is what is important to follow when it
comes to missing pills. They are the ones
who make them and test them to see what
works, so I would follow the advice of the
packet if possible.
The inactive pills are not important at
all. It is perfectly fine to skip them,
not have your period, and continue on to
the next pack.
