Q: 2 missed pills

Hi. I am usually very good with my pill (have been on it 10 years) but somehow I missed 2 pills on wednesday and thursday of my 3rd week (I am on Trinessa). I took 2 on Friday morning when I realized and will take 2 more on Saturday. I have not had sex since Saturday night (and took a pill Sunday, Monday, Tuesday). Chances of pregnancy?? And, I read that I should not take the placebos on Sunday but instead start a new pack right away...??

Welcome to eHealth. While I am no expert, I do know ANYTIME you have sex you take a risk at becoming pregnant. But.........you've been on the pill for well over 10 years, I'd think you should be safe. I also would call the helath department and talk to a nurse before I'd start a new pack. Things have changed in years since I was on the pill. Hope things turn out well for you!

You had sex before you missed the pills, and you had a couple days that you took pills after you had sex. So, you should be fine.

If you have sex anytime in the next week or so, make sure to use a condom. I know you will be on the placebo pills (I think, from what I gather from your post), and it is the least likely time to get pregnant...if you do, just be safe and use a diff form of protection.

Otherwise, you are fine right now. Smile

missed pills

i missed two yasminelle pills on sunday and monday.
i had unprotected sex on the sunday night.
i didnt double up on pills as i didnt no thats wat you do.
wat are the chances i may be pregnant im gettin kinda worried

you have a chance of being pregnant need of help.
at this point it is too late to take plan b,
so you will have to wait 14 days and take a test.
next time, try and remember and if you dont be sure to double up.

I would just use a little extra protection untill you ar taking your pills regularly again.
