i've read that a common side effect of some women on yaz is a missed period..some actually like it...ive been on yaz for about a year now and haven't skipped a period..i think i'd freak out if i did just because since i've been on the pill i have gotten a period

how long have you been on it?

i doubt youre pregnant since you've missed no pills and use condoms

ive been on yaz for about a year now and my period has always been at the same time each month. its just scary that all the sudden its different. no cramps, none of the normal signs of it.

you should probably go buy a test just to make sure

YAZ does shorten and lighten periods OVER TIME....

Many women do start skipping periods when using YAZ or Loestrin 24, which cause shorter lighter periods.

IT IS NORMAL, but if you want to ease your mind you can take a pregnancy test

oh goodness, i'm on yaz as well, i read that was a side effect but I didn't know it did that over time, i figured if I get my periods regularly they wouldn't stop for some reason, i think i'd flip out if it did

hi! so i started yaz in september and i was on it for 3 months. im a very forgetful person, so i would often forget to take the pill every day or i would take it at a different time of day. when i would forget for a couple of days in a row, i would start my period even though it was not the right time.

because of my inconsistancy, i had my period 5 times in those 3 months. it was nearing the end of the school semester so i decided that when i got home, i was gona switch to a different for of birth control that was not and every day sort of thing.

so, when i got my last period in the first week of december, i decided to stop taking the pills after i got it. around a week after i had my last period, i had protected sex with my boyfriend.

when i got home, i got a perscription for a different birth control and i was waiting to get my next period so i could start it....and im still waiting. ive felt like i was gona get my period a couple times over winter break, but now its been a little over a month since my last period and i still havent gotten my next one.

im worried that even though i had protected sex using a condom, something malfunctioned without my knowledge and since my birth control is out of wack, im scared that im pregnant. is that possible? if so, it would be like 3 weeks into the pregnancy and wouldnt i show some sort of signs if i were actually pregnant?? im rle scared and worried....

But a few days after my last period I did have protected sex with my boyfriend of 4 years. This has never happened before. Of I know the condom did not break and it protects you after you take it for a month. But im scared becasue I usually get my periods and if the condom did break or leak there could be a possibility that im pregnant. There are some symptoms of preganancy that im having but they could be caused by other things. Im just wondering what you have done about it.

Hi, I am also on YAZ and have missed my period this month, but have not missed a pill or anything like that. My periods were very light before and got lighter when I started YAZ and had been on it for a few months. I am a pre-med major and as for condoms and all that goes, the condoms have spermacide on them, which is supposed to kill any sperm that comes in contact with it. Also, inside a women there are chemicals that are used as a defense mechanism for killing sperm. pre-come from men is what sort of deactivates those chemicals, so even if the condom breaks, if he has not finished yet (not counting pre-come) you should be OK, on top of the birth control. Im on my yaz too, except I missed quite a few pills and dont use any other proctection... I did not have a period in september and now today just got my period. I took two at home preg tests and they were negative but im still scared!! could I be prego would it be smart to go have a blood preg test???
