missed periods on birth control Posted: 06-30-08 21:55pm
I am on YAZ birth control pills and my
boyfriend and I use condoms every time we
have sex. I have not missed any pills and
no condoms have broken but I skipped my
period somehow. What should I do? Is this
something that happens or is it possible
that I am pregnant? One of my friends
suggested that maybe i missed my period
because I am stressed-is that a ligitimate
reason?

i've read that a common side effect of
some women on yaz is a missed period..some
actually like it...ive been on yaz for
about a year now and haven't skipped a
period..i think i'd freak out if i did
just because since i've been on the pill i
have gotten a period
how long have you been on it?

ive been on yaz for about a year now and
my period has always been at the same time
each month. its just scary that all the
sudden its different. no cramps, none of
the normal signs of it.

YAZ does shorten and lighten periods OVER
TIME....
Many women do start skipping periods when
using YAZ or Loestrin 24, which cause
shorter lighter periods.
IT IS NORMAL, but if you want to ease your
mind you can take a pregnancy test

oh goodness, i'm on yaz as well, i read
that was a side effect but I didn't know
it did that over time, i figured if I get
my periods regularly they wouldn't stop
for some reason, i think i'd flip out if
it did
