Q: Missed periods and excessive discharge

Okay, so the last time I had sex was a few months ago. After that I had two or three normal periods and then I got my birth control type changed (which i've never been on very strong of birth control). Now I have missed my last period and I am currently supposed to be on one but its not here. I also have an excessive amount of discharge. Which is more likely: early signs of pregnancy or just a fluke with my birth control?
