Tubal ligation missed period
Well I had tests run and my Doc gave me Provera to bring on my period. She said more than likely its stress related. But low and behold later that afternoon before I filled the RX I got my period. Is that crazy or what?

Missed periods after tubal?
I would like to thank all of you for you stories. I had my tubal in 2004 and my menstrual was very heavy after the tubal. My cycle time has changed a lot since my tubal form 25 days then 28 days now 31 days. In November(09) I missed a period and now in March(2010) I haven't had one yet. It was due at least the first week in March due to February having only 28 days. After reading all of the stories,I have decided to go to the doctor to make sure nothing serious is going on.

Your are so welcomed rungirl, I went to Doctor on Wenesday, She said she couldn't find anything out of the ordinary with the blood test, so she sent me to get a trans vaginal and regular ultrasound, I got that done this past Friday. It normaly takes 1 to 2 days for the results to come back so I will be calling the doc in the am to get results back. She is basically checking for cysts in the pelvic area ovaries etc.. Will keep all updated on the last results. God Bless!

2 weeks late, very rare in my case!
I had my second little girl on july 21, 09. Got my tubes tied the next day hoping I wouldn't have anymore children. My periods have been very regular since then, and I know when I'm about to start because 2 days before my period I get very irritable and usually cry! Well, that happened this month, but unfortunately, I haven't got my period yet. And now I am about 2 weeks late. No pains, cramping, or change in mood now. I took a test and it was negative, should I call the doc? Someone help!

I am 25 with 4 kids (5,3,2,and 3 months) and Ive never had problems like this before, Im almost 14 weeks post partum and on day 43 of this cycle. Before my tubal I was ALWAYS regular even with my endometriosis. My first period was at 22 days pp and then my second at 8wks 2d pp which was heavier than my post partum bleeding and hemorrage.

I am in excruciating pain from cramps, extreamly bloated and irritable. I've taken two pregnancy tests, both negative.
I went to my dr a week ago and they said that I was having a "flare up" from my endo but did an ultrasound to make sure it wasnt cysts on my ovaries. Ultrasound came back with "functional cysts" on the ovaries and "slight fluid build up" in my uterus but that everything looked "normal" and to come back in a month for a check up and "pre surgery" consult so that they can "clear up" my endo... again.

Im on some serious pain killers that arent working and I cant shake the feeling that somethings just "not right". I cant take synthetic hormones because Im allergic...

I hope I have this in the right place...

I'm 34 and had my tubal in 2007. I haven't had a period since early May and seem hungry all the time now. The pregnancy test came back negative. Could I still be pregnant, and if so a normal (not tubal) one? I'm not sure if I should be worried yet.

Waves of Nausea
I am late for my period. I have had a tubal ligation done 11 years ago. My menstruation goes thru periods of being consistent and then occasionally switches dates, which makes me late. Tends to be a seasonal thing. However, now I have had waves of nausea for almost two weeks everyday now. I had to stop my truck and pull over this morning afraid that I would toss a few cookies, but luckily didn't. I am certain it has NOTHING whatsoever to do with pregnancy, as tubal's are pretty final and Ive never had an issue. What I am wondering if it could possibly be hormonal due to my age (47)? What can be done?

I had a tubal march 2011 and had pretty messed up periods for a few months, then I got on the birth control patch and I was fine. Last December I had to get off the patch because I was bleeding all the time. Now I'm 8 days late and have all my normal pregnancy symptoms. I have gotten pregnant on the pill and shot prior to my last child. I thing I had a implantation bleed a couple weeks back. Now I'm getting all the signs but home tests are inconclusive (never worked for me) . I'm scared and I hope if I am pregnant its a normal pregnancy. I thought I was done having children but if this is meant to be then I will be completely excited. This is making me feel like I made the wrong decision before. I go to the docs tmrw so hopefully not bad news I couldn't handle a tubal Sad

Keke- I think ot would be a good idea for you to see a gynecologist. I also have been going through what you have for 3 months with no period. I actually thought I was pregnant for the whole month of May and part of June, till the doctors tried to convince me that you can not get pregnant after a tubal (yeah right). So finally after 3 ultrasounds they found I have a severely thickened uterus. So the doc just did a biopsy to rule out cancer and wants me to take provera to bring on my period but I'm scared because of this possible pregnancy. I've never had no period in my life except for when I was pregnant so I'm nervous. What if they missed the baby and I take these meds and ruin everything. Or maybe I'm just crazy and I should take it and get back to normal. Either way ever since my tubal my body has been messed up and my husband and I are contemplating getting me a reversal. The cost is high but worth it. I would love to go back to normal. It's worth it even if I get pregnant again later. I only did the tubal because my doc told me the good. She never once mentioned the problems I would have. So I wish you luck and keep us informed on what's happening Smile

Hi guys, I have an update. I took a pregnancy test this morning because it's been a while and it was inconclusive. So I worried myself enough to get a new one and sure enough it's POSITIVE!!!! so now I'm satisfied that my body was telling me the truth. But i'm still concerned for a tubal. Going to save this test for the obgyn to see and I might just do one more to show him I'm not nuts!!! Going to call them tmrw when they are open and get in to see him. I want a new ultrasound to rule out a tubal pregnancy. Wish me luck. I will keep you guys posted and wishing all the best for everyone else!!!

everyone here worried about getting pregnant after a tubal you have the right to know that there is now a 5% failure rate after 2 years and a 13% after 4 years and its gets higher cause over time your tubes can regenerate or actually grow around the burnt/cut part and reattaches. doctors dont tell most of there paitents this and it actually causes more woman to develop cysts cause in some cases cysts can be unfertilized eggs that couldnt get out of your tubes or be asorbed i been researching this for 3 years now since i had my csection/tubal. i know over 20 females who got pregnant one birth control, while there tubes were tide and i even know one who had her tubes cut n burnt, cervix froze and was one birth control. so you are not crazy or over thinking anything you also dont have to miss a period to be pregnant and some times test will show negative if your hormone levels are 2 low and you can actually be pregnant. and you can bring all of this up to your doctors and they will deny all of it cause you can sue them

tubal pregnancy??
I am 26 and have had a tubal ligation (banded) new years eve '12 after having my son in Oct. and have had heavy, but regular cycles every 28 days. I can tell you the exact day I will start. I should have started the 1st of this month but am 5 days late. Not too late, but not normal either. I have no pregnancy symptoms other than nausea and i'm not as hungry as I usually am. I did take a test and it came up neg. so my question is, do test come back neg. if it's a tubal preg.?

I am 34 years old. I got my tubes tied and burnt 11 years ago, after I had my 2nd son. I have very heavy periods every month without fail. My sister, her daughter, and I are like clockwork with our cycles. My neice gets her, then my sis then me. I have been having the cramps and back aches consistent with the things I get right before I come on. But I am almost 2 weeks late. I did have unprotected sex in august but I had a period in september. I took a pt this morning and it was neg. When I was preg with my 1st son the hpt was neg and I had to get my blood drawn. I haven't had any preg symptoms but I didn't have any with my 2nd son aside a missed period. I don't know what to think because I am never late. Has anyone exlerienced this?

Currently my period is now 3 weeks, and 1 day late. After having my third son in july 2002, my tubes were tied( not sure which method was used) a month or so later. Im 32 years old n have ALWAYS had regular periods along with PMDD. In May of this year I had a fibroid removed and everything was still working as normal. I am a smoker and i have no pregnancy symptoms. This morning I did take a home test which came out negative. Ill try to get to the Dr next week and keep with an update.

Not sure whats going on with my body any more; seems like if its not one thing, its another.
