I normally have fairly regular periods that are only one or two days off. However, during the past couple months I've had spotting for one or two days then I get my period a week later. I was supposed to get my period for the month of July arounnd the 25th, however it is now August 12th and I still havent gotten it. I took a pregnancy test (even though a condom was used) which turned up negative, so I was just wondering what other possible reasons there may be. This has not happened to me before so I'm a little concerned. Also, I am not able to see my doctor until August 22nd so I'm just wondering what I could do until then since that's when I should get my next period, but now I'm not so certain.

Thank You.

I'd suggest that you log your periods, if you can remember them. Put the dates (expected and actual) on a physical calendar that you can take with you to the doctor's office.

Hormones are funny things...is there any stress in your life currently?

I haven't really had that much stress in my life lately. Oh and about logging my periods I've been doing that and even though they've been a little off they all last about the same length of time.

P.S.
I finally did get my period only it was about a month late. I'm still going to go to my doctor regardless.

Good for you. Glad to hear that you keep a calendar and that you're following up. I'd definitely say that the abnormal cycles are an indicator of SOMETHING. Please let me know when you get a diagnosis. I'd be interested to learn more.

Kindly,
Rooted
