Okay, so I have been on Yaz for a month and 1/2 now and yeah last month I had my period starting the 13th and ended about a week later. This month I have no symptoms of my period and its definately late. I'm wondering why it hasn't come and I have taken tests and they say negative. Is this normal? We only had one accident and that week I had taken my pills I'm not good about remembering and several times this month I have had to double up on the next day. From what I remember, doesn't it take about a month for you to have enough hormone to show up on a preg test?

No, it takes about two weeks after sex to show up on a preg test-- for most women.

Did you miss pills? I'm not sure what your situation was concerning accidents and not being good with remembering your pills, but if you're in a situation where you need a backup method, that method needs to be used for an entire week of perfect pill usage-- not just the day after.

Set an alarm on your phone or figure something else out because that pill NEEDS to be taken correctly to work as it should.

Continue with your pills until you find out whether or not your pregnant. Irregular periods can happen when you're new to birth control

EMERGENCY: delay period
Hi, I am leaving the county on Tuesday and I was suppose to already have my period can I start taking the pill YAZ now to delay it. I believe that cortisone shots and prednisone shots have delayed the onset of my period. I do not regularly take the pill, nor do I need to my husband has a vasectomy so there is no need. Can you please reply ASAP?

It doesn't work like that.. most women need to be taking the pill for at least two months to be able to skip their period-- and not even that has a garuntee.
